Sauvignon Blanc means “wild white “and dates back to 18th century France. It is one of the two parents of Cabernet Sauvignon. Sauvignon Blanc is now the 8th most planted grape in the world and has distinctive, vivid aromas, including hints of fruit that make this wine fresh and bright. Food pairings include chicken, fish, green herbs, seafood, and pork. Sauvignon Blanc is dry and crisp with a silky finish. If you are serving more than one wine with dinner, this makes a great starter wine.
